With the winter months upon us, BKLYN Commons remains committed to doing its part in preventing the spread COVID-19. We recognize the sacrifices our members have made this year and thank you for your continued support as we all work together to adhere to the safety guidelines in place.

To promote social distancing at our Prospect Lefferts Gardens and Bushwick coworking locations, we ask that all members and guests:

•     Wear face coverings
•     Regularly sanitize their work surfaces before and after use
•     Limit the number of in-person meeting attendees
•     Maintain six-feet of social distance
•     Utilize rooftop space for work and meetings when weather permits

BKLYN Commons has taken important steps to improve safety for members, guests, and staff. This includes:

1. Disinfecting and cleaning: The work and communal spaces at BKLYN Commons are sanitized and disinfected multiple times each day by a professionally trained cleaning staff. Deep cleanings are conducted daily using fogging and electrostatic spray which have proven to be effective in combating the spread of COVID-19. Individual workspace cleaning packages are available for purchase. 2. Touch-Free Amenities: All bathroom and kitchen sinks at both BKLYN Commons locations now include contact-free faucets and soap dispensers. The bathroom doors within BKLYN Commons have also been upgraded to provide hand-free access. As well, there are touch-free disinfectants, hand sanitizers, and wipe stations throughout each building. 
3. Contact-Free Building Access: BKLYN Commons’ PLG and Bushwick coworking locations have been upgraded to include touch-free front door access. Using an exclusive app, members can enter both coworking locations using their phones. 
4. Upgraded HVAC Systems: To increase the cleanliness and purity of the air at BKLYN Commons, the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC) have been upgraded to include an Economizer, MERV 13 filters, and UV-C lamps. 
5. Free Face Coverings: For the safety of all members, guests, and staff, BKLYN Commons enforces mask wearing at all times. Forgot your mask or need a replacement? No problem. BKLYN Commons provides free face coverings. Masks are located at various spots throughout the PLG and Bushwick coworking locations. 
6. Socially-Distanced Seating: BKLYN Commons has modified seating to facilitate social distancing by reducing capacity and removing chairs in open coworking spaces. All workspaces are equipped with flyers illustrating social distancing, with instructions on how to maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with the CDC. 
7. Virtual Coworking Capabilities: To help meet the new safety norms, BKLYN Commons is currently offering virtual memberships. For $99/month, members can be a part of the PLG or Bushwick coworking spaces for virtual or hybrid event hosting, workshops, and online learning. Each virtual membership includes exclusive access to: high-speed internet, the BKLYN Commons Slack channel, membership portal, a unique business mailing address, packing materials, and the full-service PLG-based content studio.
